About Us
About Us
Prior to opening my own firm, I began my legal career as a paralegal in Cleveland, Ohio assisting in civil litigation and specializing in all areas of plaintiff’s personal injury. After graduating from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, I began practicing law in the state of Michigan where I represented injured drivers, passengers, motorcyclists and pedestrians that were involved in automobile accidents.
When I moved to New York, I specialized in real estate closings and had the pleasure of assisting the public and several Patrolman Benevolent Associations, such as the Rockland County PBA and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, NYS local retirement litigation, General Municipal Law Section 207(a) and 207(c), motor vehicle accidents, and other plaintiff personal injury matters. I also had the honor and privilege of assisting several 911 first responders in obtaining benefits under the NY Workers’ Compensation Law and the Victims Compensation Fund (Zadroga Act) which they so rightfully deserved.
More recently, I spent the last five years representing claimant’s in NY Workers’ Compensation and plaintiff personal injury matters ranging from car/motor vehicle accidents, dental and medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, wrongful death, and slip/trip and fall. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two stepchildren and staying active by going hiking and running, doing hot yoga, and participating in Spartan races with my friends.

If you get injured on the job, workers compensation is a type of insurance that provides monetary and/or medical benefits regardless of fault. It is important that you report this injury to your employer and seek medical treatment for your injuries right away.
Obtaining the benefits and settlement you are entitled to for a work-related accident can be extremely difficult as you could be getting denied the benefits you so rightfully deserve. I will do whatever it takes to make sure you get the benefits and/or settlement that you deserve for your injuries.

Slip/Trip and Fall
Slip/Trip and Fall
When you slip and fall on commercial or private property, the owners or caretakers of this property can be held responsible for failing to clean or warn passersby of any unsafe and hazardous conditions. If this happens to you it is important to report this incident as soon as possible so an investigation of the scene can be performed, it can be determined who is ultimately responsible, and once liability is established pursue compensation for your economic loss and your pain and suffering.
You can slip/trip and fall just about anywhere. Some examples of these places are:
- Slipping on water, ice, snow, food, drink, cleaning solutions, gasoline, oil or other auto fluids;
- Tripping over broken or uneven pavement or sidewalk;
- Falling due to broken or nonexistent lighting;
- Falling or tripping into a hole; and uneven steps or height changes in floor.
In the state of New York, there is a limited amount of time you have to bring a lawsuit for your injuries so it is imperative that you contact me so I can fight for you to receive proper compensation for your injuries.

Nursing Home Neglect and Wrongful Death
Nursing Home Neglect and Wrongful Death
The decision to put a loved one in a nursing home is a difficult one, but it becomes even more difficult when that loved one is not treated with the care, dignity, and respect that they deserve. This can lead to serious injury or tragic loss of life.
Nursing home cases can be complex because they can involve multiple theories of liability, such as medical malpractice, but most of these cases fall under the theory of negligence. A nursing home is also responsible for the actions of its employees and have to answer for harm that results from negligence related to things such as hiring unqualified individuals; poor staff training; failure to follow procedures and protocols; failure to supervise; failure to follow orders; and inadequate facilities and equipment.
Due to the nursing home and its employee’s negligence its residents suffer harm such as:
- Bedsores,
- Fall, Fractures, and Bruises,
- Dehydration and Malnutrition,
- Infection,
- Weight Loss,
- Medication Errors,
- Physical Assault and Verbal Abuse,
- Wrongful Death.
In the state of New York, there is a certain amount of time you have to bring a lawsuit for the aforementioned causes of action so it is imperative that you contact me so I can fight for you and your loved ones to receive the compensation your family rightfully deserves.

“Abe Lincoln, Clarence Darrow, and Mary Jo White. Arguably some of the world’s greatest attorneys, but none hold a match to Heather Nappi. Heather Nappi represented me in a workers’ compensation case and has gone above and beyond since day one. She’s brilliant, trusting, and is thoroughly informative throughout the whole process. I don’t know where I’d be without Mrs. Nappi.
I was a bag of nerves during this ordeal and she was always in my corner fighting for my case whilst simultaneously keeping me at ease. Her professionalism, kindness, and courtesy is unmatched. Leaving you with a feeling of tranquil stability. Heather represented me for a year and a half, with her stellar skills, and exceptional lawyering she won me a 6 figure settlement. I couldn’t be happier with Heather’s services and I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone in need. I can never truly express how thankful I am for Heather Nappi, she’s amazing.”

“I retained Heather Nappi to represent me in my workers-comp case after I was injured at my job. It’s never a good experience to get injured, especially at work when you know that you’ll be out of commission for a long time. Heather put my mind at ease after our first meeting. She was easy to talk with and always accessible to me either by phone or email.
Heather was very professional and respectful of my case. Heather was so knowledgeable with the law for workers-comp she was able to negotiate a fair settlement for me. I would highly recommend Heather Nappi to friends and family or use her again if need be. Having a pleasant and courteous lawyer made all the difference in the world.”

“I will most definitely recommend Mrs. Heather Nappi as your attorney and here is why. I have an extremely difficult case and my previous attorney who will remain unnamed overlooked critical information and was ready to settle my case. I felt like something was really wrong because I was still in so much pain.
So I met with Mrs. Nappi and after 15 minutes of going over my documents she noticed the error my previous attorney made and advised me that I should not settle just yet and after hearing how knowledgeable she was and well versed in the case law I knew I needed her to represent me. Once I expressed that to Mrs. Nappi, she took care of literally everything. What took my previous attorney 1 1/2 years, Mrs. Nappi was able to attain within months time.
Mrs. Nappi was able to get me everything that I had deserved and more then I was previously offered; always answered every call or email within a few hours if busy, pretty much never out of reach; devotes time to every one of her clients; and fought every step of the way. Mrs. Nappi will not let you give up nor will she when representing you.
I am so glad I choose Mrs. Nappi to represent me and I think it is definitely worth it to allow her to look over your case and you will see, FIVE STARS”

“Heather is the best attorney I've ever had. She is very trustworthy and always keeps a line of communication open. She takes the time to explain things that I might need clarification on. I was so pleased with the services provided that I referred my mother to Heather. I am confident you will also be pleased if you choose to retain her services.”

“I am a Physician assistant, who was seriously hurt in a hospital accident. When I was first injured, I had zero idea of what I was getting myself into when it came to the workers compensation system. I was very naïve to think it is a fair and simple one of where a medical professional is hurt in the line of duty, that a hospital would “do the right thing”. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Before the injury, I just moved to Dutchess County and found out that I was unable to use a “fancy” Manhattan or Long Island lawyer, simply due to where I lived. I was referred to a law firm where Heather was working, and by sheer luck, she was assigned to my case. It literally was the best thing that could have happens to me.
From the first day I met Heather, I sized her up, asked every question I could literally think of, and I was that client who initial was mad that I didn’t have the main lawyer of the firm but I quickly realized that I had the best legal representation in my corner.
Heather knows her law. She lives it, breathes it, and I can truly attest that she is an up and coming star in her field. That first hearing, she absolutely shined. She fought for me, and was able to use her legal knowledge to help secure me numerous advantages, in not only that first hearing, but literally every hearing I had over the next 2.5 years.
Heather kept me updated on every finding, on every process, on each ruling, and she had the foresight to see what the other side was planning, and was able to skillfully counter them. She always put me in a good position to win and I couldn’t have been happier with these results.
I am very grateful for both the expertise and care that Heather provided to me. She is genuinely concerned about the people she represents, and worked diligently to help me navigate the path before us. Never once did I ever feel she didn’t have my best interests at heart, never did I ever feel out of the loop, and in the 2.5 years of my WC case, did I never have Heather right there helping me through all of this.
Not only is she a skilled lawyer, she is literally a genuine human. She knew and understood my plight, my concerns, listened to me complain and were able to redirect me from the ledge multiple times. While I never wish to have to need WC representation ever again, if I am finding myself in that unfortunately position, I will, without a doubt, pick Heather to help lead me through that time.
Thankful and blessed,”
